Bill Tomicki The Intelligent Traveler

Bill Tomicki is the editor of the Santa Barbara-based luxury travel newsletter, ENTREE, "the Rolls-Royce of travel newsletters," according to Vogue Magazine. He had a long and distinguished career as a travel columnist for the New York Times Syndicate. Today, Bill writes for a dedicated following of world travelers in popular publications and mainstream electronic media.

Bill contributes regularly to publications that include Traveler Overseas Magazine, Bel-Air Hotel Magazine, Zagat Guide to Los Angeles, and Porthole Cruise Magazine. He is a member of Society of American Travel Writers, North American Travel Journalists Association and International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association. He has co-authored four travel books and has been knighted in France and Portugal.

In the course of his 25-year career as a travel writer, Bill has rarely said no to an adventure—he single-handedly scaled a sacred aboriginal mountain in Australia, lived with Masai warriors in Kenya, danced on the Great Wall of China, and ate piranhas in the Brazilian Amazon.

When not traveling the world in search of adventure, Bill studies fencing and plays polo.
